Automated Incubator STX44-xxSA
The STX44-xxSA (StandAlone) is designed for integration where the instrument is located on the floor. The STX44-xxSA incubators have their handling and climate controls on the lower part of the instrument. The robotic access Gate is located in the upper part of the housing. The SA configuration does not require table space and an SA configured StoreX can easily be put in position without the need of placing the unit on a table. The STX44-xxSA can be used as basis for an STX44-xxBT allowing an extremely space effective integration of two incubation chambers.
Like all members of the StoreX family the STX44-SA can be equipped with a large number of options and a wide selection of useful accessories. For details please refer to Options or Accessories.
Stable and reproducible climate conditions are the key to success in modern screening applications.
The small StoreX 44 transfer gate guarantees extremely stable and reproducible environmental conditions for your assays. Fastest recovery times allow frequent plate loading and unloading. Highest accuracy and stability over time is maintained by using sensors monitored by the Swiss Office of Metrology and the Swiss Accreditation Service.
The STX-Series is the most widely used and the most complete solution for controlled environmental automated storages in laboratory automation. The STX incubators use a unique design that copes with extremely frequent accesses while maintaining ultra stable conditions inside the climate controlled chamber. Plates are accessed through a small automatically controlled door (Gate) that opens during access only, thus minimizing gas exchange. As common interface between the incubator and the robotic environment a transfer-station is located in front of the Gate. Full manual access is possible through a large user door and removable cassettes (Stackers), which allows the user to access and load products.
The STX-Series robotic handling is completely located inside the incubation chamber. The handling allows full random access on all plates. LiCONiC is the first to implement a shovel based handling system, which transport plates by loading them on an extendable surface (shovel). The handling consists of a turntable that holds the removable stackers and a transport lift mechanism that transports a single plate between any stacker location and the external transfer station. This handling accepts most plate types without modification, teaching, or adaptation. Even simultaneous use of various plate types is possible. The STX series includes five different size models that cover the range of 44 to over 1000 MTP plate capacity. Temperatures range from -20'C to +70'C. Both, high and low humidity versions are available. All units allow full remote operation. The Stand-Alone or BenchTop configurations make the STX-Incubators ideal for integration in small, mid-size, and large laboratory automation lines.
