The starter kit contains twelve vials filled with 10mL of HistoGel specimen processing gel, two cooling blocks, and a dry bath incubator. The dry bath incubator is specifically for use with HistoGel specimen processing gels, and serves to keep liquified HistoGel specimens in a liquid state at 50°C (122°F). The aluminum cooling blocks should be chilled in a freezer for at least two hours before use, and will retain their temperature for up to two hours at room temperature.
