微孔小室中的趋化实验：
微孔小室中的趋化实验是根据靶细胞（单核巨噬细胞，中性粒细胞或淋巴细胞等）能够趋化性主动迁移，穿过一定孔径的滤膜而设计的。滤膜将小室分隔成上下两部分。靶细胞在上面，趋化因子在下面，趋化因子通过滤膜形成梯度，细胞则沿着梯度穿过膜孔，附在膜的下面，染色并计数滤膜下表面的细胞数即可测出趋化因子的趋化能力。
趋化材料和趋化时间的选择：
趋化滤膜的材料和孔径需根据靶细胞的大小选择：中性粒细胞用3um孔径的PVPF聚碳酸膜，趋化时间为30分钟；单核细胞用8um孔径的PVPF聚碳酸膜，趋化时间为90分钟；粘附力弱的淋巴细胞则下表面复以明胶或纤粘素的5um或8umPVPF聚碳酸膜,以免淋巴细胞穿过膜后落入下室，趋化时间为180分钟.
