4.1. Materials and methods

RuCl3·nH2O (J&K), bpy (J&K), phen (J&K), DIP (J&K), 5,6-diamino-1,10-phenanthroline (Alfa  Aesar), 1,10-phenanthroline-5,6-dione (Alfa Aesar), Re(CO)5Cl (Sigma Aldrich), NH4PF6 (Alfa Aesar),  DPBF (Alfa Aesar), MB (Alfa Aesar), Dulbecco's Modified Eagle Medium (DMEM, Gibco), Roswell  Park Memorial Institute 1640 (RPMI 1640, Gibco), fetal bovine serum (Gibco), penicillin-streptomycin  (Gibco), MTT (J&K), JC-1 Detection Kit (Beyotime), H2DCFDA (J&K), Hoechst 33342 (J&K),  Annexin V-FITC Apoptosis Detection Kit (Beyotime), Matrigengel (ABW). Primary antibodies against  caspase-3, PARP, MMP-2, MMP-9 and VEGFR2 were purchased from Cell Signaling Technology.  RuRe1–3 were dissolved in DMSO (1%, v/v) just before the biological experiments.
